Today I’m a Solution Architect at Northwestern Mutual, where I lead work to secure hundreds of microservices with policy-based access control, mentor engineers across the organization, and modernize the organization’s data architecture. Previously, as a Principal Software Engineer and Architect, I built platform foundations for a large digital application platform: a hybrid microapp and static-asset host, an authorization control plane spanning 100+ applications, and a micro-frontend orchestration framework that stitches together independently deployed apps.
Outside of enterprise work, I build products and tooling that reshape how software gets made with AI:
- thisweek.food — a full-stack TypeScript recipe-to-shopping-list platform (React 19, Hono on Cloudflare Workers, PostgreSQL via Hyperdrive + Drizzle) shipped in a week, built agent-first with a layered documentation contract so autonomous agents can modify it safely.
- ai-scaffold — a reusable “working with AI” setup: a documentation tower, config-driven enforcement tooling, and a vendored skills collection, installable into any project in one command.
- An autonomous GitHub-issue agent for a client’s Music Academy SaaS that triaged 95% of 41 issues and opened PRs on its own, using a label-based state machine and tool-use budgets.
Earlier I was a Principal Software Engineer at Seeq (performance engineering and REST APIs) and a Software Engineer at KAYAK (ad products, legacy modernization). I’ve also founded companies — Papertrailer and Fetchmob — which shaped how I think about products, economics, and the people who use software.
I’m currently pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, after an M.Eng. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from RIT. I care about modeling phenomena across domains, failure analysis, and building systems that stay understandable as they grow.
